Lessons
Joe is currently accepting private students, primarily in the Somerset, Hunterdon, Mercer, and Middlesex County areas. Inspired by the knowledge and teaching styles of his renowned instructors, Ed Soph and Tommy Igoe, Joe teaches drumset in a friendly, progressive, and individualized style. Topics covered include: technique, coordination, reading, style development, listening, creativity, improvisation, timekeeping, and soloing. In addition to Joe's original instruction materials, he has a massive resource library of recordings and printed materials to draw from.
Joe accepts students ages 10 through adult, and all skill levels. He has a lot of experience getting beginners (including adult beginners) started in the right direction with immediate and quick progress. Also, having successfully run the gamut of auditions from high school regional and All-State competitions through college entry and placement, Joe is especially interested in accepting students with these upcoming audition challenges, offering instruction that will help you succeed in your goals.
Joe teaches out of his home studio in Manville, New Jersey. He also has limited availability to teach a few students on location at the student's home.
